I’ve been a bit busy as off late with uni, work and doing costume for a production of Macbeth in my free time. There’s so much that I am working on that I can’t wait to share with you (a straw boater, 18th century pocket panniers, a cage crinoline and hopeful some 50’s dresses for myself). But until then, I thought I would introduce to you some friends of mine who are new to the world of blogging.
Emma at ~ What’s My Scene ~
Emma is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She is always so much fun to be around and always full of adventure. Emma is a part time Gothic Lolita, part time Vintage Starlet and part time Bogan all rolled into one wonderful package.

Alexandra at Lady A
Alexandra is a most talented sewer and a great problem solver. She is also terribly kind and will never leave you out in the cold when you need help. She is a terrific dancer and has the most amazing ideas (have a look at her pictures of her burlesque graduation).

Can't wait for the tutorial on seamed stockings! I worked out a super-quick way to do a sailor hat but it's a bit chunky in the seam where the crown joins the brim, I think your version is better.
ReplyDeleteI was totally boring and did my secondment with Black Swan (I'd helped out there at various other points too with Michelle whom I believe is still at WAAPA?), a friend of mine did it at the BBC which was pretty awesome! I imagine the course has changed quite a bit, for the better I'm sure. We had lots of hiccups, and someone not nearly as good as Fleur in the top spot, but we DID have Irene who was the best wardrobe mistress EVER so I feel that made up for the bad bits! I hear that 'Anything Goes' is the major musical this year? I hope you get to work on it, it's my favourite musical and it'll no doubt have swell costumes!
I'm looking forward to reading your friends' blogs, thanks for sharing them!
Yay its me! Amy you always say the sweetest things about me. <3 u ^_^
